Severtson Screens (severtsonscreens.com), a world leader in innovative and quality projection screens for the cinema, commercial, professional AV and home cinema markets, is proud to announce that it has supplied eight cinema screens for Cineplanet’s new cinema in the Mall Aventura at Chiclayo, Peru, which recently opened March 31.
“We are thrilled to have worked with Bardan and to be a part of this fantastic new cinema,” said Dan Maxwell, vice president and chief operating officer of Severtson Corp. “With our range of cinema screens and the facility’s complement of state-of-the-art audio/video equipment, customers will enjoy incredible cinematic experiences for many years to come.”
The screens range in size from 5.36m x 9.67m to 8.34m x 15.2m and are all made with Severtson’s Cine Perf screen materials. One of the eight auditoriums also includes a 7.39m x 13.42m screen with Severtson’s SēVision 3D GX coating for cinematic 3D experiences. The eight screens were shipped folded to reduce shipping costs.
According to Cineplanet, ever since they ordered high-gain displays before the pandemic, they had been concerned about any possible damage from such long storage until installation resumed. Upon inspection at the time of recent installation, the screens had no issues with the packaging and quality of the coating remaining excellent.
In addition to screens from Severtson, Bardan supplied Cineplanet’s new cinema with Barco DP2K-10SLP and DP2K-15CLP laser projectors, Dolby IMS3000 and 3D DepthQ servers for the clearest and brightest 3D images possible.
“Not only did Severtson deliver the screens to specification and on time, but in order to meet our budget constraints, all eight screens were shipped folded for tremendous savings,” explained Oscar Araya, Bardan’s Sales Account Manager. “It was great to work with Severtson and their screens are second to none, making them the perfect fit for this project and solidifying Cineplanet’s desire to be the premier theater in the region.”
Maxwell added, “Our folded shipping method allows no loss of structural or visual integrity of the screen, and now makes international distribution of our cinema screens very affordable, reducing international shipping costs by up to 70%.
